Since 1979, I have worked in the investment management field handling individual accounts. Throughout that time, I have specialized in working with both high-net-worth clients and retirees from major companies and small businesses, managing their pension rollovers as well as family assets. In providing my clients with financial planning services, I can help them make important decisions when facing difficult circumstances, such as health issues as they get older.
Financial Planning can be provided as a separate service or included as a part of Investment Management Services.
I started my own firm in 2001 after spending more than two decades working alongside other financial advisors at some of the largest firms on Wall Street. If there is a distinction that prospects need to understand, it’s that the advice provided by registered representatives of broker dealers is based on what is a suitable investment at a specific moment in time. Conversely, the advice provided by investment advisors is based on what is in the best interest of the prospect’s financial goals and objectives with a long-term focus. This is further emphasized by the compensation structure, as registered representatives are paid on commission primarily at the time of transactions. Investment advisers, on the other hand, are paid a fee over the life of the recommended investment plan.
Over the years, I have counseled my clients through the oil crisis in the 1970s, the S&L collapse in the 1980s, the technology bubble in the early 2000s, and the financial crisis in 2008. Through good times and bad, I have thrived with my clients, maintaining a long-term vision with their all-important assets.
I make a serious effort to understand my client’s risk and reward options to the fullest extent before any new investment decisions are made. However, having worked in many different markets from Europe to China, I believe that safe investing involves diversification. My on-the-ground experience allows me to use insider knowledge of the danger and opportunities within these high growth markets to my client’s advantage.
For the last 40 years, I have handled client assets with a custom approach. I believe the best service, and a good and profitable relationship, can be rendered when the client and advisor see eye to eye.
